On Tuesday of last week our Mother Goose Time lesson was all about building structures!
We learned that the triangle is the strongest shape when building structures!
MGT provided the following supplies for the kids to build structures of their choice with...
They all started out at the table....
...but it didn't take long for their imaginations to run wild! This activity quickly turned into a superhero and jewelry making party! LOL!
Next, we discussed the importance of building structures on a solid foundation. We demonstrated this with our solid wood floor and a pillow!
It didn't take long for the structure on the pillow to topple over!
The kids spent a bulk of their day building creatively in our block area! We also discussed the importance of building structures with a wide base to prevent them from tipping over so easily.
I also took out building blocks at our light table...
Our book for the day...
On this day the kids had their pajama popcorn party that they had earned by getting all of their gems in one jar! Yay!!! Nora borrowed us her popcorn machine! This was so much fun for all the kids to watch!
