On Friday our Mother Goose lesson was all about parachutes!
We started out the morning working on a page from their journal...
"I see ____ in the sky."
The kids also got caught up in their math and literacy workbooks...
Next we headed outside with fun new parachute toys that MGT provided for each child!!!
After exploring and playing for a while the kids and I discussed the importance of how a parachute is made and what type of material is used. We tested out different types of materials. Here Kaylie and Gavin are dropping a washcloth and a dancing scarf....
The we played with a REAL parachute!!!
We also played with a parachute inside!
The kids were given new storytelling pieces to retell the life of Thomas Edison...
Our book for the day...
In the afternoon the kids even played with partner parachutes!
On this day we had two very special graduates!!!
These two will be missed very much!!!
Jacob brought a cookie and Nora brought the ice cream. They wanted to say farewell with an extra special treat!!! We were all so very thankful!
