Our
Mother Goose lesson on Thursday of last week was all about strength and balance!
We started out the morning painting paper plate lifting weights!
These photos of the kids imagining with their weights were taken on Monday....
This is one of the kids favorite monthly Mother Goose activities!
Graphing our choices!
The kids completed the letter G page in their journal.
"I want to be as tall as...."
Next, we learned that balance can strengthen our muscles too!
We headed outside to practice balancing...
Mother Goose provided each child with their own balancing activity sheet, and ribbon...
The kids did a great job with their ribbons, and then I asked them to think of other clever ways we could use their ribbons.
A ball hammock...
A jump rope...
Dancing...
Ninja...
A scarf...
More dancing...
A blindfold...
A leash...
Lastly, I asked the kids to see what they could make if they combined all the ribbons together!
A giant balance beam, a tightrope, and a giant snake!
Mother Goose provided us with this activity cube that reviewed all that we learned about this month. (I cut apart our cubes and place them in a pocket cube).
Stomp your feet 12 times...
Do jumping jack and shout "J!"
Make an "L" with your arms...
Make a heart with your hands...
Our book for the day...
The kids were SO VERY PROUD that they put these floor puzzles together on this day as well!
