The end of our Bees & Butterflies Unit...

On Friday we wrapped up our Bees & Butterflies Mother Goose Time unit.

I worked one on one with each child as they completed their monthly postcard writing project.  I snapped a photo of G here because he was writing to another friend who had been absent all week.  I thought his message was so very sweet!

I provided the kids with craft foam butterflies.  They had fun being creative with them!

We answered math questions with our new beads that MGT provided us!

We also played a Butterfly Bingo game that MGT provided us as well...

On a side note...N provided us with a new science experiment.  He brought back a pumpkin sprout that he started in his Kindergarten class!  We marveled at home the sprout grew out of the dirt while holding on the the seed's shell!

We compared our plant to a photo that I printed off online...

We took a walk in the neighborhood and visited another daycare provider's new puppy!
We also watched the road construction trucks!

Swallowtails...

On Thursday our Mother Goose  (MGT) lesson was about Swallowtails...
The kids started their morning working on this letter matching activity from their literacy workbooks.  I LOVE these photos!  They really capture how much the kids enjoy these activities!

A letter N book from their literacy workbook...

Next, the kids made a framed work of art!  First, the kids colored with a black crayon...

Then they painted with watercolors!

Lastly, I framed each one of their works of art!  The kids were SO very PROUD!
MGT provided us with a new letter recognition game...

We ate butterflies for lunch!  I made bow-tie pasta with grilled chicken for lunch.  I provided the kids with a Basil Pesto Alfredo sauce on the side because kids always LOVE to dip!  I was so impressed with how many of the kids loved the new sauce!  Yay!
We also ate butterflies for snack!
Our books for the day...
It was a rainy day on Thursday.  Here are a few random photos I took of the kids:

Putting together our "Very Hungry Caterpillar" puzzle...
Our book box came!  THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH to all the parents who have supported!
Even though it was dark and gloomy outside, we were happy because....it made our light table shine even brighter inside!

Priceless!
Still drawing her animals! :)
The kids have been LOVING their new train table!
