Hot Air Balloons!

On Monday our Mother Goose lesson was all about hot air balloons!

 We sang "One Balloon, Two Balloons..." to the tune of "One Potato, Two Potatoes."

 We practiced the words "up" and "down" in sign language as we explored tossing items in the classroom of different weights.  We identified which items fell to the floor faster or slower than others and why (heavy vs. light).

 Mother Goose provided us with the supplies to make this super cute hot air balloon craft!

 I took a photo of each child ahead of time and cut them out.  We placed the photos inside each hot air balloon craft!  They turned out so adorable!!!

 Weaving is a very advanced skill for a preschooler.  I demonstrated how to weave and then let each child try it.  I ended up having to help every child though.  I loved the look of the woven baskets though, so I wouldn't have wanted Mother Goose to not have included this.

 Science is so much fun!!!

 Of course we had to do it a second time!  The kids wondered if it would happen again!

 On Monday we enjoyed a Thanksgiving feast for lunch!  We shared what we are thankful for.  (Thankful is the friendship word Mother Goose is focusing on this month.)

 Being that we have now learned about airplanes, helicopters, and hot air balloons, we took the afternoon to write/draw in the clouds! (Shaving cream on the tables!)
