On Thursday of last week our Mother Goose lesson was all about the dairy food group...
The kids started the morning working in their workbooks...
Mother Goose provided us with these SUPER FUN supplies to make a cow craft with a plastic glove for the imaginary udder!
L and G.P. were absent, but they completed their cow project on a different day...
The kids worked on the heart page in their monthly journal...
Mother Goose provided us with these magnifying glasses to use with our theme poster...
J played teacher on this day!
The kids gave a thumbs up when they found the object. Then one volunteer at a time used positional words to describe where the object was before matching it up to the poster with the magnifying glass. Lastly, the kids answered the questions on the back of each magnifying glass.
We watched a short informative video that showed the storybook, "Milk Makers." At the end of the video they also showed a man milking a real cow!!! The kids were so amazed!
I filled a few plastic gloves with water to give the kids the opportunity to see what it would feel like to milk a real cow!
