A step-by-step teaching guide...
Mother Goose provided us with the following supplies to make a jack-o-lantern paper bag craft. I decided to purchase the orange bags though instead of having the kids paint the brown bags orange.
We were also provided with this cute pumpkin patch sign for our completed pumpkins!
I can't get over how cute each pumpkin looks! The kids traced their hand to make green leaves!
They were so happy to display their work for all to see!
Mother Goose also provided us with this "Beware of the Bat!" game...
I placed one numbered cat under each child's pumpkin. When I said "go" they all looked at their cat. They ran as fast as they could over to the matching numbered pumpkin that I placed face-up on the floor on the opposite side of the room. The person who had the bat was suppose to try to tag their friends before they reached their matching numbered pumpkin. The kids LOVED this game!!! It was so much fun!
I cannot believe I was able to catch this photo! She was so excited to be the bat!
G. C. was the bat this round...
Mother Goose also provided us with this new super cute "Pin the Patch on the Scarecrow" game!
I placed magnets on the back of each patch so the kids could play again and again. The kids were instructed to roll the dice and find the matching patch on the magnetic board. Then they placed the REALLY big bucket hat on their head to cover their eyes. They turned around one time and tried to place the patch on the scarecrow! This was so much fun!
On the opposite side of our magnetic whiteboard we have a felt board. I encouraged the kids to build a scarecrow out of felt. I also challenged them to have a scarecrow building race with a friend! :)
So much fun with our new magnetic/felt board!
Mother Goose also provided this fun scarecrow coloring sheet for each child. I forgot to take photos of the kids coloring, but they had fun doing this in the afternoon!
Mother Goose also provided this "Pumpkin Eater Snack" recipe card...
I decided to use this idea for our lunch! We ate open-faced pumpkin tuna sandwiches on whole wheat English muffins!
These were our books for the day. Both were about scarecrows!
This was our low sugar healthy snack! Spider deviled eggs, and ghost/bat veggie chips!
Mother Goose also provided these supplies for a pumpkin seed search. I will set this station out for the kids on Wednesday.
Mother Goose provided us with these supplies for a pumpkin pounding station. I will set these things out on Thursday!
Lastly, Mother Goose Time also provided these things in our "Pumpkin Patch Party" packet. I was not in need of them, but I am sure a lot of schools will appreciate them!
(A Welcome sign-in sheet, Invitations, and Thank You cards with a slot for a group photo!)
It is clear to see that Mother Goose Time went above and beyond this year!!! I am SO VERY THANKFUL!!!!
