On Thursday was last week our Mother Goose lesson was all about carpenter bees...
During circle time we sang, "Buzz Little Bees" to the tune of "Skip to My Lou."
We also practiced acting out how to forgive. "Forgive" is our friendship word for the month of April. I absolutely LOVE that Mother Goose incorporates character building words into the curriculum!
This year the kids have been given a bee badge that states the word they have learned. I REALLY wish these were stickers. They are great, but because they just don't stick like a badge should.
I introduced the kids to this new participation story...
The kids could retell the story during their free play time...
The kids worked on a few pages from their math and literacy workbooks...
Mother Goose provided each child with their very own "I Can Read" book. I am such a fan of these books! I encourage all of the parents to save these books and practice reading at home with your child daily!
The great thing about these Mother Goose books is that they always leave a page for the kids to finish and be a part of the illustrations!
This was our book for the day...
