On Friday our Mother Goose lesson was all about sailboats. We didn't quite get to our entire lesson for the day, so we will extend this lesson on Monday.

I was SO VERY PROUD of G for this one. He was asked to copy the sentences that use some of the sight words we are learning about this month (where, are, they, down). He decided instead to extend the sentence, or answer the question. Wow! I am so impressed with all the kids inventive spelling and writing skills! This is thanks for Mother Goose Time's "More Math" and "More Literacy" workbooks. I could not be more grateful that they have added these to their curriculum! They are the perfect challenge and boost that some of my preschool kids have needed!

On Friday I put boats and fish in our sensory table. I asked the kids to guess how many fish they could fit in our small, medium, and large boats before they would sink.
On Friday we also made candy flowers! It was just a fun random spring treat!
In the afternoon it was cold, windy, and rainy. I decided to dump out out our GIANT Lego bucket! The kids were so excited! I sat and built Legos with them all afternoon. They actually thought of something quite genius! They built a Chuck E Cheese's with a Caribou inside! I thought it was a GREAT idea!
On Monday we will be making sailboats and racing them!!!
