On Monday our Mother Goose lesson was all about alligators!
We learned that alligators are found in the United States, but in Australia (one of the countries we are learning about this month) there are crocodiles! We discussed the difference between an alligator and a crocodile.
We sang, "Teasing Mr. Alligator!"
Alligators can hold their breath for 20-30 minutes! How long can you hold your breath for?
Where do alligators like to hide? Alligators can be sneaky, still and quiet so that no one sees them coming. We counted "1 alligator, 2 alligators, 3 alligators....20 alligators!" At the end of 20 alligators the person who was pretending to be the alligator snapped at their friends. A lot of screams and giggles during this as the kids anticipated the "attack!"
