On Monday, October 27th we started out our day making Halloween cards for someone special...
We had fun adding Halloween stickers!
The weather was absolutely gorgeous!!!! We had a blast raking leaves with our new kid sized rakes! We spent the majority of the day outside!!!
We played a Halloween board game...
We intended to celebrate Addison's 7th birthday, but she had a special afternoon with her Dad instead. I took a picture of J (brother) in her place...
I can't believe we are still picnicking outside WITHOUT jackets on October 27th!!!
We conducted a science experiment with a balloon being that we were celebrating a birthday...
We added white vinegar to the water bottle, and put baking soda in the balloon. I placed the balloon over the top of the bottle and poured the baking soda into the bottle. It immediately caused a chemical reaction and the gas that was released filled up the balloon.
I love this pic! Almost everyone has backed away, but N is just holding her ears. She wanted a front row seat regardless if the balloon popped! :)
This is how big the first balloon got...
We wondered if it would happen again with a second balloon....
and again with a third balloon...
At the end we added more vinegar to the bottle and watched it overflow like a volcano!
Each time we conducted the science experiment the reaction was less and less. You can see the kids playing with the "Mommy, Daddy, and baby" ghost balloons! :)
A- ended up picking up her brother with her Dad, so I gave her a treat and snapped a pic real quick! Happy birthday A! You are so sweet!
