We had a pajama Polar Express day!!!!
I bought Santa, elf, and reindeer dress-up hats for the kids to play with and act out Santa's workshop. I absolutely LOVE looking at these photos! The kids are just so happy!
I made a train themed lunch! We ate a PB&J train shaped sandwiches (just noticed I put the train pieces backwards), a snowman string cheese, pineapple & pomegranate seeds, and fresh broccoli with Ranch. I dressed up the tables to make our lunch extra special!
The kids decorated their own box for an imaginary train car!
We decorated a train shaped cupcake! We ate our special snack with warm (hot) cocoa...
We read the The Polar Express storybook together, and listened to it on
CD in our listening center. Then we watched the movie in the afternoon
while sitting in our train cars...
While watching our movie we received an very unexpected special delivery from Santa and his elves!!!! The doorbell rang, and I had E answer the door. This Santa bag was on the doorstep...
The bag was filled with stockings for each of the kids. Each stocking was filled with a REAL reindeer bell, and a couple other trinkets! The kids were SO EXCITED!!!! I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed watching the kids when all of this unfolded!!!
The bell rings for those who truly believe!
In the bag there was also a special letter from Santa!
More play time...
