The Water Cycle...

On Wednesday of last week our Mother Goose Time lesson was all about the water cycle...

MGT provided us with the supplies to make a water cycle in a bag.  The idea was that the sun would heat up the water and trap it in the bag for the kids to see.

The kids were also given new bilingual books with the sight words we have been learning about this month: where, are, they, and down.

Our book for the day...

On this day we let our butterflies go!  We were so thrilled that all 5 caterpillars changed and lived!

Water Conservation...

On Tuesday of last week our Mother Goose Time lesson was all about water conservation!

MGT gave us the link to watch a kid friendly informative video about ways we can help reduce water waste.  The kids LOVED it!  They watched intently and learned a lot!

I just love this photo!  The kids meant business as they transformed themselves into water conservation officers!

Next, the kids wrote postcards to someone special about something they have been learning about (or anything else of their choice).  MGT provides us with these postcards each month.

Car Wash...

On Monday of last week our Mother Goose Time lesson was all about the car wash!!!

I filled our sensory table with cars and scrub brushes!

MGT provided us with the following supplies to make a make believe car wash!  This project was so much fun for the kids!  It made me chuckle when the kids told me they have never seen their parents pay for a car wash, so they must be free.  :)

After completing their project, I made sure they had extra time to play and interact together...

The kids worked on a page from their journal...

MGT provided us with these fun new plastic boats and story math cards!

They helped each other out as they completed the math problems!

"There is a boat party on 5 lakes.

There are 4 boats on each lake.

How many boats are there in all?"

WOW!!!  N completed this in a cinch!  She even color coded the boats as she completed the math problem!  :)

Bath Time...

On Friday of last week our Mother Goose lesson was all about bath time!

MGT provided us with the following supplies...

MGT also provided us with the link to an online story of the book "Harry the Dirty Dog!"

The kids painted their dog with brown paint to make it look dirty!

We all LOVE to take bubble baths!  On this day I filled our sensory table with a rainbow bubble bath, made entirely of suds!

The kids wanted to paint their bubbles on the driveway...  

They had so much fun!

MGT provided us with a new "I Can Read" book!

I read the book "Harry the Dirty Dog" for story time...

On a side note...we now have 5 eggs!!!

Future shark biologist here!  G read this entire book of 20 different sharks to me on Friday! Wow!
