Thanksgiving!

Here are pictures of our dramatic play area.
The kids made turkey headbands, and I made Pilgrim hats, and Native American headbands for them to wear and imagine acting out the first Thanksgiving...
The pilgrims learned to fish and hunt for food...
The pilgrims learned to plant seeds, garden, and farm the land...
Photos of the first ever Thanksgiving...
Thanksgiving pocket chart story, grocery list, and books...
Place settings...

The Pilgrims also learned to build homes for themselves...

We made turkey handprint art...
We played with dried corn cobs, feathers, and numbered turkeys...

Such concentration!  Check out that tongue!  I love it!

Fall harvest sensory table filled with dried beans and seeds...

We enjoyed a Thanksgiving feast of turkey, mashed potatoes & gravy, corn, bread, and cranberries.

We also ate turkey sandwiches one day for lunch...

We also made mini pumpkin pies with pumpkin flavored pudding...

We painted a fall colored corn on the cob with bubble wrap...

Rainforest...

We learned about the rainforest during the month of November.
Here are just a few random pictures.
Making a craft of the four layers of the rainforest...

Painting toucans...
Animal dress-up...

The animals are putting on a show...
Who knew animals could read? :)
Here we are enjoying our layered snack (graham crackers, bananas, vanilla pudding, and whipped cream).  This dessert reminded us of the four layers of the rainforest!

J is for Jump!

We were fortunate enough to borrow this bounce house from the B family.  Many "Thank you's!"

Another big girl!

This little sweetie has big news to announce...
NO MORE DIAPERS!  Yay B!
